About IGotAPro

IGotAPro is a curated directory of home-service businesses, launching in the Sarasota metro — Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Venice, and Parrish — and built to grow city by city from there. It was founded by the owner of a Sarasota mobile detailing company who got tired of watching national lead platforms charge his fellow trades $20–$100 for the same lead, sold to five competitors at once.

How Pros Get Listed

Basic listings are built from public business information (name, phone, service area) and are free. A business can claim its listing — free — to verify ownership and add photos, hours, and detail. Paid Featured and Category Sponsor placements are always labeled on the page; paying buys placement, never reviews, ratings, or ranking claims.

Our Vetting Standard

Before a business can hold a Featured or Sponsor placement, we will verify, as they apply to the trade:

Licensing — Florida state license where the trade requires one (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pest control), checked against the state database.
Insurance — a current general liability certificate on file.
Standing — a real local presence, reachable by phone, with a review history we can read in public.
Conduct — a pattern of unresolved customer complaints is grounds for removal, paid or not.

This is the standard we apply as the directory grows. Basic listings drawn from public records are not individually vetted until claimed or featured — which is why we still tell every homeowner: check the reviews, confirm the license, and get the quote in writing.
